Saturday 30/02/08
Saturdays are better than Sundays. Saturday mornings are always clear, clear-headed and clear-blue; the pavements are clear too. And still, too, are all the bikes and the cars. My front tyre is flat, I have to fix that.
I find tons of things on Saturdays, in the mornings when the bikes and cars are still and the pavements are clear and so is the sky. I find new streets that could be of some use when I want to buy something. If ever I want to buy something, which is not very often because I have enough things. Still I wouldn’t mind more things, especially from places lining these new streets. There are no trees except in the public gardens, but there are plenty of fountains and stained white cathedrals. Water is a good replacement for trees and leaves and grass because it reminds you of what nature is supposed to be like, just like trees and leaves and grass remind you of what nature is supposed to be like.
A one euro baguette is all I need for breakfast, it’s plenty and portable for a stroll along the pavements, which were clear but are now busy with people hunting down unique items. These people don’t notice the fountains or the stained white cathedrals, just unique items. Which can’t be found anywhere else in the world, and aren’t owned by anyone else in the world.
Even though my bike tyre is flat and I have to get it fixed, Saturday is still my favourite day. Much better than Sunday. On Sunday everyone is busy relaxing, and watching other people relaxing. On Saturday, people relax but just don’t know it.
